We headed out of the Hiker’s Inn around 8am and grabbed some iced coffees and breakfast on the way out of town. Delish! We hit the trail by 9am feeling good. Most of the day was not filled with any grand views, but was pretty nonetheless.
Parts of the day went along the Creeper Trail, which is named after me I guess? (hopefully not 😉 It seems like a popular biking trail down here.
The last couple miles of the day involved our biggest climb, up and over Whitetop Mountain.
We finished with about 21 miles hiked for the day.
Tomorrow looks really exciting, with some nice peaks and the famous Grayson Highlands. They have wild ponies. I am hoping to eat at least one, as I have my full appetite back now.

I hope there was nothing creepy on the Creeper Trail! Sounds like a nice day yesterday, but it looks like there are some storms predicted for your area today. Stay safe and dry! Happy hiking! Sending dry, positive thoughts, prayers and lots of love.
Did I see mountain laurel? so serene and lovely. Good you’re back to 100%!!
